Labor Law
Labor Law refers to the set of legal rules that regulate the social relationship of dependent work, for remuneration, and the legal position of those who make a living from such work. Many issues may arise during the operation of an individual employment contract, both from the employee's and the employer's perspective.
A primary problem that arises is the non-payment of wages, i.e., the failure of the employer to pay the employee the lawful remuneration for the work they have provided. The pursuit of these wages, either initially before the Labour Inspectorate bodies or subsequently before the country's courts, can be successfully completed with appropriate legal assistance.
Another equally frequent and important issue is the additional hours of work that the employee is forced to provide in order to cope with their workload, which are sometimes categorized as overtime and sometimes as extra work, and mainly the amount of payment for these hours.
Furthermore, there may be cases of work accidents and the compensation that the injured worker or their family (in case of death) can claim, seeking monetary compensation for mental anguish. A work accident is one that occurs due to a sudden and violent incident within the framework of the employee's work. If the accident is due to the employer's fault, the employee can claim the corresponding compensation through a lawsuit in civil courts. Consulting a well-trained and experienced lawyer guarantees the full satisfaction of the employee's rights.
On the other hand, employers also face problems, especially when employees do not perform their duties or fail to meet the agreed obligations arising from their employment contract.
In any case, the goal is proper guidance and the assistance of the appropriate legal professional, so that any arising disputes in the context of labour relations are resolved in the best possible way.
